She spent months living in 1913, having to deal with a lot of shit, among racism and the Doctor not being there properly. Did she complain? no.

She spent a FUCKING year walking the earth, trying to save it, and had to do it alone. Did she complain ? No. She was brave, clever and was eventually able to be on her own. She was NOT needy, not a tool, and if she complained a few times she had a good reason for it. 

Rant over. 

But but she should have just accepted being constantly compared to someone she’d never met and couldn’t possibly actually BE because she’s her own person.  Of course she shouldn’t have been upset that the Doctor was acting like a whiny manchild and was complaining about things she had no possible way to know about.  She shouldn’t have expected to be treated like an equal just because she was able to think on her own, figure out the Doctor’s plots on her own, save herself instead of waiting for rescue over and over, do everything the Doctor ever asked of her and more, suffer through being treated like she was less than human for three months and yet still keep her chin up through being called names both by some whiny brats and the Doctor.  How dare she hope, after doing all that, that the Doctor might actually notice her.  Especially after he’s the one who kissed her and held her hand and came back for her to ask her to go with him BEFORE she’d ever even heard the name “Rose Tyler”.  She should have just somehow just magically known that the Doctor was emotionally unavailable when he was kissing her and telling her how awesome she was.

When Talullah asked her about the Doctor?  She should have just not said anything instead of having someone to confide in and get her feelings off her chest during a private conversation.  When she met Jack, she shouldn’t have thought just for a second that maybe she was meeting someone who wouldn’t make everything all about Rose again and maybe would see her just for her after a year of living in Rose’s shadow despite saving the Doctor’s life a half dozen times and being clever and independent and proving herself time and again.

  I mean, it’s not like she actually recognized he was in pain and got him to talk about his past and tried to help him.  It’s not like she was hoping to have fabulous adventures in space and time, she totally should have expected having to be a maid for three months in an era when she was looked down on for the color of her skin.  It’s not like she handled that with grace and did her job and kept him safe and got him to open the watch when he needed to.  I mean, how dare she be a little upset that she got yelled and and called an “executioner” for doing what she was told?  How dare she complain just a teeny bit about having to work in a shop and be the sole provider for herself and the Doctor for two or three months in yet another era when she was still looked down on for the color of her skin? 

I’m sure that whoever submitted this confession would have handled all of that without even blinking an eye. And definitely wouldn’t fall in love with the Doctor in Martha’s position.

You know what whiny people do?  Apparently they spend a year all alone walking the entire Earth, saving the planet with words and not waving a magic TARDIS hand that takes care of everything in fifteen seconds.  Then apparently needy people are self aware and realize the position they’ve put themselves into and walk away from the man that they love when they realize they’re in a hopeless relationship where they’re taken for granted and treated badly for the crime of not being someone else.  Yes, needy people leave, remember that everyone.

Needy people apparently move on with their lives and get over the person they used to love and find someone who appreciates them back.

It’s only complete tools who graduate med school and get recommended by the Doctor for high-ranking positions in UNIT.  It’s needy tools who don’t blow up the planet when they’re ordered to because they want to do things the Doctor’s way.

This fandom, you guys.  Seriously.  I love Rose Tyler but her fans are killing my love for the character and the show.
